modelled after the lid of T55 tank, except with no hinges, this work analyses the reality of being trapped in the tank. the same infantry vehicle was used by FAPLA during the angolan “civil” war.
this work began as a study of the naturalization of defeated battle vehicles into the landscape.
T55 lid/ Bring Me Flowers revisits the battle of the Cuito Cuanavale more specifically, but delves into the many encounters between such tank and other infantry vehicles used by the SADF, such as the Ratel.
