this work is a visual and semiotic study of the SADF RATEL IFV. the infantry vehicle was designed in 1972 to specifically fight in and withstand the conditions of Angolan soil to facilitate Apartheid invasion of it. along with its tactics, Ratel Over The Hill studies the brutal act of stamping onto Land under hegemonic pretences. it delves into the history of Land dynamics between Angola and South Africa, tracing it back in modern History to relations between Apartheid South African and Portuguese imperial Regimes.
